Cycling superstar Mark Cavendish says it's 'so exciting' that the Isle of Man has been chosen to host this year's British Cycling National Road Championships.
This week it was confirmed the Island will run the event in June - the 'Manx Missile' took to Twitter after the announcement to express his delight.
The championships are expected to bring significant numbers of participants and visitors to our shores.
MHK Rob Callister has political responsibility for the Department of Economic Development - he says it's a good opportunity to showcase the Island to a wider audience:
So it's just been announced that the British Road Race Championships are at my home, the Isle of Man this year!! So exciting! ??????
