Mark Cavendish has announced he plans to retire at the end of the 2023 season.
The Manx Missile has been speaking at a press conference at the Giro d’Italia, which he is currently racing in.
He said ‘cycling has been my life for over 25 years – I’ve lived an absolute dream.’
Cavendish will still take part in the Tour de France this summer, where he’ll try to break the record for most stage wins, which he currently shares with Eddy Merckx.
