Mark Cavendish says his cycling career could be over unless he allows his latest injury to heal properly.
The Manx Missile broke his shoulder in a controversial crash that saw him drop out of the Tour de France.
Slovakian racer Peter Sagan was disqualified from the race afterwards - Cav has a large hole in the centre of his scapula.
He's told a cycling magazine he's been treated at the hyperbaric chamber in Douglas but says if it doesn't heal properly, it could ruin his career.
Cavendish says he thinks his chances of becoming world champion this year are effectively over.
And he says he'll be out of action for at least another month as his shoulder heals.
Cav says he will return to racing this year - but doesn't think he'll be fit enough to challenge for the world cycling championships.
He says he'll concentrate on preparing for next season's racing.
