Mark Cavendish is now officially a member of Omega Pharma Quickstep after his contract came in to force yesterday.
The Laxey sprinter joined the Belgian-based team after a frustrating year with Team Sky that saw his opportunities for major stage wins restricted.
Although a new name to some, Cav's new team has made a big impact in cycling since it was established 10 years ago.
Next week he heads to Spain for a week-long training camp before making his debut for the team in the Tour de San Luis in Argentina.
The 27-year-old is already in an optimistic mood for the 2013 season where he'll be looking to add to his numerous stage wins which include 23 in the Tour de France and 10 in the Giro d'Italia.
