Cavendish and Sells Win Big At Sports Awards
Last night saw the Island’s sports awards take place, held at the Villa Marina.
The event saw Mark Cavendish and Manx Grand Prix rider Carolynn Sells crowned Sports Man and Woman of the year.
Cav of course had a very impressive 2009 season with six stage victories notched during the Tour De France, Carolyn made history by winning the Ultra Lightweight Manx Grand Prix becoming the first woman to win a race around the TT Course.
Among the other winners were Vagabonds Ladies Rugby Team who clinched Team of the Year, and TT ace Conor Cummins who was crowned the Isle of Man’s Ambassador.
