The government's congratulated Manx Missile Mark Cavendish after he won a Lifetime Achievement Award in the BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
Sir Mark will be presented with the award tomorrow.
This year saw the 39 year old complete his record-breaking win of 35 Tour de France stages.
The awards ceremony in Manchester will be shown live from 7pm tomorrow.
