With the Sport Personality Awards approaching this weekend 3FM spoke to someone from a top betting firm to see how Mark Cavendish’s chances are looking.

As it stands Cav finds himself 5th favourite to clinch the title, with Racer Jenson Button odds on favourite and Ryan Giggs, Athlete Jessica Innis and Boxer David Haye all in close contention.

Rupert Adams from William Hill said it would take a huge upset for the Manx Missile to walk away with the top honour.
