Police are hunting for the person responsible for shooting a cat in Onchan on Friday.
The two and a half year old animal was injured sometime between 8am and 5.30pm in the area of Port Jack.
The cat was taken to a vet by its owner where an X-ray confirmed there was an air weapon pellet in its abdomen - the cat has since died.
Anyone who can help identify the person responsible has been asked to contact police as a “matter of urgency”.
