A takeaway in Castletown has applied for longer opening hours to compete on a level playing field with other outlets.
The shop in Callow's Yard on Arbory Street was given planning permission to convert from an estate agent to a fast food outlet last April.
Planners said it could open from 9am until 5.30pm but a new application's been submitted to vary that planning condition.
Its new hours would see it shut at 11.30pm in the week, 12.30am on Fridays and Saturdays and 10.30pm each Sunday.
