A boost to Castletown's Market Square and Parade has been given the green light from planning.
Permission has been granted for the works - which will see an enhanced public space for pedestrians and events in a flexible area that can adapt to community needs.
Castletown Commissioners will provide additional short-stay parking to make up for any decrease in the square's provision.
As a result of the changes, the regeneration committee hopes the investment will increase footfall and 'economic viability'.
