Castletown Commissioners chairman Jamie Horton says he's expecting more businesses to close, after Barclays announced it would shut its branch.
After the bank revealed it would shut its doors, Mr Horton said the board had long anticipated the news, which didn't come as a shock.
He says given current trading conditions, he's not naïve enough to think Barclays will be the last business closure.
But he says the local authority has already been approached by other firms who'd like to use the building.
