Castle Rushen could be in line for improvements to its historic courtroom, if planners give the green light.
Manx National Heritage has applied for registered building consent to remove pew bench seating and make alterations to the courtroom.
In its application, the organisation says it wants to replace the room's modern ceiling and radiators as well as remove the raised dais used by the judiciary.
The room hasn't been used as a court since 2013, and is now used to swear in the Island's lieutenant governors.
