Castle Rushen High School has issued a reminder to parents following the fire alarm going off on Tuesday morning.
The school says the alarm sounded shortly before 9am, though the driveway had become congested as parents were dropping off children, with some parking on double yellow lines.
This created a 'significant challenge' when the fire engines arrived at the scene.
It turned out to be a false alarm, but the school says it serves as a stark reminder of the importance of maintaining clear access for emergency services.
Parents are asked to park responsibly when picking up or dropping off children.
