Road works have continued in Douglas today after bad weather halted labour.
The carriageway on Castle Mona Avenue has been prepared for resurfacing work which will begin today.
As a result the road is closed and parking is prohibited between the underground car park at Central Apartments as far as the turning circle part way along the route.
Pedestrians can still walk along the road and it will reopen to vehicles at 4pm.
