Firefighters were called into action yesterday morning to tackle a blaze in a multi storey car park.
Just after 9.20am two pumps from Douglas station were dispatched to Marks and Spencer to reports of a vehicle on fire.
Staff from the shop helped to keep the public away from the area due to the large amount of smoke on the first two levels.
Once the fire had been extinguished the area around the car was cordoned off.
The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service has not revealed the cause of the incident.
