If you're lighting candles to mark the festive season, the Island's Fire and Rescue Service says you should follow safety guidelines.
It says you should always put candles on stable, heat-resistant surfaces.
They should be at least a foot away from any decorations, curtains, or flammable items and should never be left burning unattended.
The service says it doesn't want to have to make an unexpected visit to your home over the holiday period.
