Two Island organisations are raising funds to get state-of-the-art new equipment at Noble's Hospital.
Manx Breast Cancer Support Group and Mannin Cancers are linking up to try and generate £1.5million to replace the CT scanners at the hospital and create a new CT suite.
The long term aim is to provide facilities there to rival any of its type available in the UK.
The Department of Health and Social Care added the project - in partnership with the radiology department - will reduce waiting lists, fewer visits to the UK and improved patient experience.
