Should the role of Chief Constable in the Isle of Man Constabulary be a more permanent fixture?
That's the question which will be asked when the Police (Amendment) Bill 2015 has its second reading in the Legislative Council next week.
Currently the role is a five year position - but could be changed by the member responsible for the Department of Home Affairs.
