As the UK prepares to increase its minimum wage, the Manx Labour Party is calling for the Isle of Man to do the same.
Earlier this week, Rishi Sunak announced he is increasing the UK wage to £9.50, while the island is lagging behind at £8.25.
In July, Tynwald approved a recommendation to bring the minimum wage in line with the living wage within the next five years.
However MHKs - and Manx Labour Party members - Joney Faragher and Sarah Maltby are pushing for a smaller time frame.
