Calf candidates warned it's not a '9-5' job

Candidates who've applied to live and work on the Calf of Man have been warned they will need to be "self-sufficient".

Applications for the positions of ornithology and estate warden closed yesterday - the posts run from March to November.
 
Director Edmund Southworth says the island - which is one square mile in size - certainly isn't for everyone: 
 
 
Wardens will be responsible for monitoring the 33 species of birds which breed each year as well as habitat management - Edmund says it's important to protect our landscape:
