Voters in Garff will go to the polls next month, if candidates come forward to sit on the local authority.
The vacant seat on the board of commissioners is in Lonan ward.
If you'd like to stand for election, you can pick up forms from the offices on New Road in Laxey and have until Wednesday, January 16 to fill them in and return them.
If more than one candidate runs, polling will be held on Thursday, February 7.
