Business owners told to lock up after burglaries

Police say criminals are taking advantage of the dark winter months using it is as cover to commit burglaries. 

 

Overnight on Monday thieves targeted a commercial property on Woodbourne Square in Douglas, breaking a window and stealing petty cash. 

 

Officers say money should be removed from premises and left somewhere secure and out of sight - they've also advised people to check their general security.
