Bus Vannin trialling passenger announcements

Bus Vannin is set to trial a new passenger announcement system on its double decker buses.

An automated voice accompanied by rolling LED text will announce next stop locations on selected routes.

It's in an effort to encourage passengers to travel with more confidence and independence.

Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne says the outcome of the trial will determine if the scheme is rolled out across the board:
