A former bus shelter in the South is set to become a heritage centre.
Rushen Heritage Trust (RHT) has reached an agreement with Port Erin Commissioners to lease the old shelter on Bridson Street to become a community hub and multi-purpose base for RHT which will be known as Tree Archyn (Three Arches).
Chair of the local authority, Godfrey Egee, believes it will coincide well with the Visit Port Erin initiative and looks forward to seeing the centre open in the coming months.
Meanwhile, chairman of RHT, Professor Hugh Davidson, adds the venue will also act as a visitor centre and exhibition space.
