A former Douglas North MHK who was suspended from Tynwald earlier this year has lost his seat.
John Houghton was kicked out in May for failing to apologise after he was accused of being a bully.
Despite his suspension he put himself forward as a candidate in the General Election - however last night voters elected not to return him.
He secured 775 votes - losing out to David Ashford and Ralph Peake who secured the seats.
It marks an end to a 20-year political career - speaking to 3FM before the election Mr Houghton said he believed he could clear his name:
