Three volunteers will be on hand at the event to meet and greet those taking part to get to know them, before setting off with their buddies at the walkers pace.
Southern Community Initiatives Project Co-ordinator and organiser, Janet Bridle, says they hope it will encourage more to be involved in the event but may feel shy about doing it on their own.
The event - now in its sixth year taking place on May 19 - raises funds for Southern Community Initiatives, Men in Sheds and SPort Erin.
