Broadway Upgrade to New Digital Projector
Hot on the heels of the Palace cinema upgrading to 3D, the Broadway have announced they will soon be introducing similar technology.
The move has come about in light of the growing amount of films which have been shot in 3D.
They’ve had a new state of the art digital projector installed, which will enable the screening of the 3D movies.
The change to digital projection will also mean reduced shipping costs of getting the films to the Island.
The equipment will enable the cinema to screen live events in 3D, such as concerts and major sporting events.
The first film they’ll be showing in 3D will be Resident Evil Afterlife, due for a September 10th Island launch.
