58 per cent of people who voiced their opinion on border controls say more should be done to protect the Isle of Man.
More than 1,000 people responded to a government consultation looking at whether the Island should introduce ID checks at ports.
Visitors don't have to produce any identification when arriving off the boat - however concerns have been raised that this needs to change to stop criminal and terrorist-related activity.
