Britain's first War Pensions Committee marks 100 years

The first War Pensions Committee to ever be formed in the British Isles has marked its 100th anniversary. 

The Isle of Man was the first place to set up a body to help veterans at the height of the First World War in 1916: 
 
 
That's veterans' welfare manager Caroline Beattie - who helped organise a celebration for the committee, which was attended by the Chief Minister, on Friday. 
 
She says whilst the support started during World War One it's still as important today:
