The Island’s consultant breast surgeon is calling on the public to get behind her vision for a new stand alone facility dedicated to breast care.
Millie Bello has served in the post for the last year and a half and says the existing system is leading to overcrowding.
It means clinics have to take place in various rooms around the hospital as and when they become vacant.
She is proposing an extension to the first floor of Noble's Hospital which would provide a central location and a more focused service.
However Ms Bello isn’t blaming the hospital for the situation - she says it's just been the natural evolution of the service:
