Protestors were expected to gather outside Tynwald tomorrow after claims Manx Care would carry out screenings every three years in future.
However, that's been called off after Public Health Isle of Man said no such decision has been taken and the programme will continue to screen every two years.
A review involving Manx Care and the Department of Health and Social Care is planned for the next 12 months but in a statement the government says there'll be no change without listening to people's views.
