A number of breast cancer patients on the Island are having their treatment reviewed after a problem with hormone testing.
The Department of Health says there are currently 22 patients affected – who are being contacted by Noble’s Hospital.According to the department the issue is not with the breast cancer diagnosis but with the subsequent hormone testing.
That’s carried out after the diagnosis to determine the appropriate additional treatment.
Anyone who is affected will be seen by the breast care team to discuss their care.
