From next month - a one-way system will be in place in the already-busy Island capital.
The Department of Infrastructure has confirmed the news - as it undertakes 'improvement works' on Braddan Road.
Alongside the resurfacing of Braddan Road from the junction with Peel Road up to the roundabout at the junction with Ballafletcher Road - a pedestrian crossing will also be installed.
This works - which are expected to take up to six weeks will begin on Monday, July 26.
Construction will be undertaken one lane at a time and the road will be made one-way in the direction of Nobles Hospital.
Traffic from Braddan, bound for central Douglas will be diverted via Tromode Road or Ballanard Road.
Traffic from Braddan, bound for the west or south will be diverted via Strang Road.
The Department has apologised for any inconvenience this scheme may cause to residents and road users.
