A commemorative booklet has been made to celebrate 150 years since education was made available for everyone.
The 1872 Isle of Man Act for Public Elementary Education shaped the schooling framework and was a 'landmark piece of legislation.'
The anniversary has been celebrated throughout the year with various talks and papers, including a research newspaper developed by the Department of Education, Sport and Culture.
The booklet replicates one produced by the government in 1972 and includes a small paragraph from each local school about their history.
