The police have published a booklet for the public alerting them to danger areas that if not given consideration could result in them becoming victims of crime
The aim is to encourage people to take simple prime precautions.
The books comes as it was revealed that in many cases of theft on the Island properties or vehicles were left unlocked.
Force crime officer Mike Radcliffe says that people shouldn't assume the Isle of Man is a completely safe place to live. (audio above)
