Book Belonging to Mobile Library Turns Up Over 50 Years Late
A book that was borrowed from the Island's mobile library was returned recently, over half a century one from when it was originally taken.
The worn and faded copy of The Loughsiders was discovered by 90 year old Phillip Leonard, when he was cleaning his shelves at his home in County Down, Northern Ireland.
His now deceased cousin who had been training to be a nurse on the Island in the 50s had borrowed the book during his visit.
Luckily for Mr Leonard the mobile library don’t operate a late charge policy.
