Police have confirmed the body of an unknown male was found washed up on a remote beach in the west of the Island last night.
Peel Lifeboat and the coastguard arrived at the scene near Creggan Moar, south of Niarbyl, at around 9pm and launched a dinghy to recover the body.
It had been found by members of the public.
Police say they're conducting enquiries to identify the male and a post mortem will be conducted to establish his cause of death.
