Police have confirmed the man found in the Hibernia area of Maughold on Friday evening was 87-year-old Mr Alan Wilson.
At this stage they believe there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding Mr Wilson’s death.
His next of kin have been informed.
The coroner of inquests has also been informed.
