Police are investigating after a body was found in a burnt out car at the Point of Ayre.
The emergency services were called to Cranstal Road just before 8pm last night after a member of the public reported a vehicle was on fire near to the lighthouse.
Once the flames were extinguised it was discovered that someone had been inside the vehicle.
The death is being treated as unexplained.
The body has not been formally identified.
It's believed there were a number of people and vehicles in the area at the time and police are appealing for witnesses.
