The heavy snowfall yesterday has led to the closure of all the Schools on the Island today with a number of road closures still in place also.
The Isle of Man College is also closed, we’re still awaiting confirmation on the Business School.
Although the snowfall petered off over night the roads around the Island are still treacherous with black ice reported around the Island, the road gritters were out in force over night dealing with what will be the busiest routes for people going to work.
The Beinney Phott, Tholt Y Will, Mountain Road, Lhergy Cripperty and East Baldwin roads have all been closed until further notice.

Motorists are advised to only make essential journeys this morning; pedestrians too are urged to proceed with caution when walking on the pavements, some of which were gritted yesterday.
