Billy Harris has made Manx tennis history by making it into the first round of the US Open, despite losing his final qualifying match.
Harris was given a lucky loser entry - where players who lose qualifying rounds still advance to the main tournament draw due to another player’s withdrawal.
He lost out to Coleman Wong Chak-lam, who by winning their match became the first modern player from Hong Kong to reach the main draw of the tournament.
Harris will now go on to face Canadian Felix Auger Aliassime in the first round.
