A biker has been flown to the UK for hospital treatment after crashing on the Ballamodha Straight this morning.
The 39-year-old man from Peel was involved in a two vehicle crash at 7.50am between Silverdale Road and Phildraw Road.
His Suzuki, which was travelling towards Ballasalla, lost control and collided with a Ferrari travelling in the same direction.
The driver of the car - a Ballasalla man - was unhurt; the road was closed for several hours while investigations were carried out.
Police are now appealing for witnesses - anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact Castletown Police Station.
