The Manx government is urging bike owners to pack away racks after 'obstacle' complaints.
Bike owners are being asked to pack away their car racks after a series of complaints from people with disabilities.
The department of infrastructure said some rear-mounted bike racks cause problems when they overhang the pavement.
A spokesman said: "There have been instances where people with disabilities, with visual impairment or pushing prams would have found them to be an additional obstacle when walking on footpaths, or crossing the road".
The DOI says it's glad people are using bikes to explore the Island, but says cyclists should consider others.
The government advice is: Please consider others and fold up or dismount bike racks when not in use.
