Adventurer, TV presenter, actor and motorcycle fanatic Charley Boorman says he's about to fulfil another ambition by attending the Isle of Man TT this year.
He started as an actor but is now best known for his motorcycle adventure TV shows, with his pal Ewan McGregor in the Long Way Round and also Long Way Down and By Any Means.
Charley has been around the TT course with lap record holder John McGuinness but has never been here for race week. He said he can't wait to see the TT racing in person for the first time, especially since seeing TT3D. (audio above)
He is bringing his one-man show Charley Boorman Live to the Gaiety Theatre on June 3rd.
He told 3FM; 'For anybody who is a fan of bikes or journey's the show has something for them. It all starts from when I got into bikes when i was a kid, my father is a film director so I grew up on film sets as he directed films including Hope and Glory. Then I met Ewan McGregor, there are some really funny stories that have happened to me along the way! It's not taken too seriously.'
