Treasury Minister Alex Allinson says bereavement benefits following the death of a partner were cut in line with changes in the UK.
He faced a question for written reply from Onchan MHK Rob Callister about changes to Bereavement Support Payments.
Dr Allinson said the UK changed its rules in 2023 so only those on child benefit or who were pregnant would be paid if they'd been living with their partner.
And he said the Isle of Man and the UK had an agreement to make sure the benefits were the same in both jurisdictions.
