A benefits fraudster who wrongly claimed more than £31,000 will be sentenced in May.
Marc Daniel Moore of Marathon Road in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 48 year old pleaded guilty to eight counts of making false declarations and one of failing to inform officials his circumstances had changed.
Prosecutor Barry Swain said between January 2019 and September last year, Moore didn’t tell benefits staff he’d been working for Heron and Brearley and a number of hotels and bars.
As a result, he was overpaid £31,448.
Magistrates asked for a report to be prepared by the probation service and bailed Moore in the sum of £500 until he appears again for sentencing on May 11.
