The Ben-my-Chree is expected to be out of action for at least one week for essential repairs.
The vessel suffered damage to one of its propellers entering Heysham harbour and following investigations by divers and manufacturers its been determined the repairs can’t be carried out whilst the craft is afloat.
The Steam Packet Company says it’s scheduled to sail to Falmouth dry dock on Tuesday, September 1, and is currently expected to return to service on Friday, September 11.
A revised timetable is being introduced which will see the Manannan operate the daily Heysham sailings from Tuesday while the MV Arrow will carry out a daily freight service.
