A volunteer beach cleaner who's devoted himself to clearing litter from the Island's shores has been honoured by the Queen.
Bill Dale, who founded Beach Buddies, has been given an BEM in the New Year's Honours list.
He set up the beach cleaning group a decade ago and has built the organisation into a major marine conservation charity with hundreds of volunteers.
