Douglas cyclist Jonny Bellis returns to stage racing today a year after a crash that almost cost him his life.
Jonny was seriously injured in a scooter incident last September.
After time in a coma and months of rehabilitation the 22 year old will today be taking part in the Tour Of Britain.
He told 3FM 'considering I was nearly dead a year ago to be able to race is amazing.' (audio above)
The eight stages of this year's Tour contain several challenging stretches for the Manxman before the race around Newham in East London on the final day.
