A hotel in Douglas could become a block of 27 bedsits under new plans.
Elliott Homes of Laxey has applied for planning permission to convert the Seaview Hotel on Empress Drive.
In its application the company says it already has a portfolio of similar properties in the capital for professionals looking for short and medium-term housing.
And it adds the building has begun to deteriorate after lying vacant for around two years.
